The beginning

God is holy and perfect. In the beginning God created the world, speaking it into existence with His living Word. The perfection of His creation reflected the beauty of his character. There was no war, no pain and no death. He looked at his creation and said, “It is good.”

God created man and woman in His own image. Everyday God walked beside the man and the woman in the cool of the evening. He spoke to them and they enjoyed the perfect peace of his presence. There were no broken relationships.

In the beginning God communicated face-to-face with man and woman. That was how God intended to relate to people—that is how God wants to relate to you. God who created you—mind, body and soul—desperately wants you to know Him and to see Him face-to-face. He wants to bless you with His presence, His love, and His hope.
